MIDI Madness: An Algorithmic Melody Generator
MIDI Madness creates melodic fragments based on controlled chance, with you in full control of the parameters – which notes, length, velocity, etc., with additional controls over Pitch Bend and Continuous Controllers (MIDI CC). The created fragments can be played by most major media players, or dragged into a sequencing package to trigger softsynths.
Uses for the melodic fragments are endless – a bass line, a riff, an accompaniment; it can be simple, it can be mad, it can be whatever you define it to be.
MIDI parameters are set using a simple and stylish interface which begs to be tweaked;
